We are dedicated to making our county more competitive by aligning education and workforce development with the needs of local businesses.  Since our acceptance by ACT, the Gregg County Works team:

• Established a county level Certified Work Ready Communities team. 
• Provided county level demographic data verified by state
• Publicly promoted county Certified Work Ready Community http://workreadycommunities.org/ initiative to employers, economic developers and community leaders
• Attended three training sessions with ACT
• Continues to utilize the ACT Work Readiness System http://www.act.org/workforce/workreadiness.html
• Continues to strive to make funding resources available for WorkKeys, ACT NCRC , job profiles and KeyTrain curriculum 
• Adopted Gregg County’s ACT Certified Work Ready Community goals http://workreadycommunities.org/TX/183
• Building a model for the 14 counties in our Workforce Development Area to utilize
